FANTASTIC FOUR BRINGS IN $154 MILLION WORLDWIDE

Variety reports Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer brought in $22.1 million at 8,451 theaters in 44 markets over the weekend, bringing its international total to $57 million. In its sophmore weekend in the UK, the film was down a respectable 48% bringing in $4.1 million at 479 locations. It was number one in Mexico with a $5.7 million opening at 1,070 theaters.
Next week brings openings in Argentina and Brazil with several other major markets launching in August. Its current worldwide take is $154 million which is 44% of the final worldwide boxoffice of the orginal Fantastic Four.
