IOAN GRUFFUDD'S WEBSITE SHUTS DOWN DUE TO COMMENTS ABOUT FIANCEE

Ioan Gruffudd's official website ioanonline.com has been shut down due to negative comments that had been posted on the site's forum about the actor's fiancée, Alice Evans. "It's true Ioan has withdrawn his support following some comments that have been made," said Pippa Beng, a spokeswoman for the actor. "Ioan is sorry that this has happened and has posted a message on his website for fans." The statement on the site is directed to the site's creator and administrator "April" - "April, please accept my deepest thanks for your superb work over nine years. I was really lucky that you decided to start up the site. It is impossible to put into words how much I have appreciated your enthusiasm and support -- your taste, professionalism and integrity are impeccable. We've had a great run and I'm sure all the people that have visited the site were as impressed as I was. Thank you again, April, very, very much. Lots of love, Ioan"
The site had been on-line for nine years, but was being supported by Gruffudd for the past two-years. The site's administrator stated the site was being shut down based on Gruffudd's decision to pull financial support. "Ioan, who has funded the site for the last two years of it's nine-year run, has decided not to support this site anymore due to comments posted about his fiancee in the forums," posted the administrator on the now defunct site's homepage. "I can't afford to keep the site up on my own and wont do it without that support so it's closing down."
